Daniel Mikhno

Partner

Dan is a founding partner and managing member of Vinawel Capital Management LLC. After college he spent 14 years with the U.S. Department of Defense, deploying seven times in support of combat operations throughout the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas. His last assignment as a program manager of military intelligence operations had him posted at the headquarters element of U.S. Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany. As part of a recent transition into business, Dan was selected for a highly competitive position in commercial real estate where he works on a broad portfolio of projects including acquisitions, asset management, real estate investment trust (REIT) financial analysis, and real estate development.

Dan is passionate about ethical leadership in corporate governance and promotes the theme through his work. Vinawel cultivates a culture of transparency and sound governance while helping individuals build wealth and diversify assets through simple, high-yield fixed income and alternative securities.

Dan holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with a focus on finance as well as a master’s of science degree in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University. He is a native of Portland, Oregon and completed his bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Russian Language at Portland State University, with honors.
